Hi all,
A few months ago it was noticed that in the Solaris 10 license it says:
(f) You may not publish or proide the results of any benchmark or
comparison test run on Software to any third party without the prior
written consent of Sun.
There was concern that this may impact the community's ability to share
interoperability test results between Linux and Solaris. Fortunately,
thanks to the efforts of OSDL's General Counsel Diane Peters and the
help of several people from Sun's legal staff, we now have written
consent to collect and post interoperability test results and
compatibility information at the OSDL website.
If you have Linux/Solaris test results you'd like to have collected at
the OSDL site, let me know. I can send you a copy of the letter and
help you in getting the data posted.
Bryce
