I'm using a standard Gentoo X.org 1.1 server (although with nVidia's
proprietary driver), but I don't really understand how this problem
could be caused my memory corruption. If that were the problem, I'd be
expecting segfaults and kernel panics, not what appears to be controlled
uninterruptible sleep, no?
