Looks reasonably ok (I think... I haven't thought about it long and
hard). 

All patches ok except one that I will reply to separately...

Not a problem.  I'm perfectly happy with email patches - lets me play
with "git am" and I currently find them slightly easier to review
(though if I get more comfortable with git, that might change, who
knows).
