state recovery failed on NFSv4 server with error 2

Just adding another data point...

I'm seeing the same error with OpenSolaris SXCE b85 as the server, and 
CentOS 5.1 i386 as a xen guest on a CentOS 5.1 x86_64 host.

The problem manifests itself when I run a largish rsync process, for 
example, syncing the CentOS 5 x86_64 updates repo locally.

Is there anything I can do to provide more information?
