it is confirmed that the holey file connectathon test was failing in the 
2.6.17-CITI_NFS4_ALL-1 kenrel that is the current vendorbase of the pNFS CVS 
tree. this has been fixed by steve dickson in the 2.6.18-rcX kernel.
