Also, for the content the commits:

	- Please double-check that you aren't touching anything that
	  isn't directly related to the change you're making.

	- Use tab characters (not 8 spaces) for indents, and don't leave
	  trailing whitespace.  Adjust your editor's defaults if you
	  need to.

I kow this seems trivial, but months from now if we've got thousands of
these little nits to clean up at once, we'll be unhappy....
