[pnfs] RPC auth errors in 2.6-latest

I just sync'ed 2.6-latest to Linus' tree (2.6.24-rc3).  I can't run
connectathon (on 2.6.24-rc3 client) (v4.1) against the 2.6.24-rc3 server
because it fails to authenticate the EXCHANGE_ID RPC request.  It works
fine when I run against a 2.6.24-rc2 based v4.1 server.

Is anyone aware of specific changes in the server that would trigger
this?  The request is sent with AUTH Unix and fails with AUTH_ERROR.
