[pnfs] repeating fstat call in 2.6.23-rc9

I have filelayout pnfs read/write working on 2.6.23-rc9. As I'm testing, I
note an fstat getattr call being sent on the mount filehandle every 5
seconds or so. The fstat is also present with v3 mounts. This is a sync rpc
call. Does anyone know what is triggering this call?
