My policy's been to check patches for added lines with weird whitespace
(since Andrew complains), but to otherwise leave stuff alone.

The script at linux/scripts/checkpatch.pl will check patches for you
(for whitespace and for a bunch of other things--and it's overreaches
occasionally so feel free to ignore it if you have a good reason)

I dunno, whatever will save time thinking about whitespace....
