Happy New Year!
2009 brings Linux 2.6.28 upon us.
This means that we can finally freeze the 2.6.27 branches
and rename the -2.6.28 branches by removing the -2.6.28 suffix.
The end results is the following tree:
master (== v2.6.28)
upstream
nfs41-review (== nfs41-latest)
nfs41
pnfs
spnfs
pnfs-all (== pnfs-all-latest)
pnfs-gfs2
pnfsd-lexp
pnfs-block
panlayout
Please note (Fred in particular) that I temporarily dropped pnfs-block-all
from the pnfs-all series since it does not compile yet over v2.6.28.
Fred, I'd appreciate if you could fix this in the pnfs-block branch
and then I can put it back in place.
To update your tree I recommend running:
$ git remote update
$ git remote prune origin # assuming you called the remote linux-pnfs tree "origin"
then delete any obsolete branches
and checkout or fetch origin branches you want to track.
Benny
