Hi Sorin,

I want to configure 2 MDS like an HA configuration in pnfs, one MDS act as
the replica of the other MDS.

Thank Andy. Looking forward to your results.

Are we talking here of an MDS cluster of 2 or 2 MDS in an HA configuration
or what?

Could somebody clarify? Thanks

/Sorin

Hi

The GFS2/pNFS architecture allows each cluster node to be both an MDS
and a DS, I test using a 2 node GFS2 cluster with one node as an
MDS/DS and the other node as a DS. I haven't tried this - but I see no
reason that both nodes could not act as an MDS/DS with the other node
acting as a DS determined by which node is mounted. I'll try this and
let you know how it goes.
